Chosen Family Reunion Healing Retreat

 The Chosen Family Reunion is a 3-5 day healing and restoration retreat experience. Professional colleagues, family members or friends stay in an offsite location with retreat facilitators for restoration and reconciliation with a "family reunion" flair. Added benefits include grounding practices, customized workshops, an onsite chef, and access to optional individual coaching sessions.   

 Commonly requested CFR workshop topics include grief, inner child work, family dynamics, stress and trauma, healing and resilience, somatics (body work), boundaries, expectations and manifesting. 

Unique to CFRs is an intentional, required quiet period for personal practice in the 7 types of rest called S.Ā.Ā.V. (Silence/Stillness As A Voice pronounced "save") Time.  

During the CFRs - especially the 5-day retreats, we offer opportunities (outside of healing workshops) for participants to engage in collaborative bonding activities. 

Past experiences have included game night at the arcade next door, movie night at the local cinema, a ropes course, a nature hike, water activities and a local horseback riding excursion.

An onsite chef stays on retreat with the attendees and provides fresh-made breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks throughout the duration. Dinner is served family-style each night with attendees breaking bread together.

Our favorite place for the shorter Chosen Family Reunion is Camp Because I Said I Would. This nonprofit campsite located in Walhonding, Ohio was founded by the promise movement leader, Alex Sheen and all proceeds benefit the BISIW mission.

 Our staple location for the extended Chosen Family Reunion is the vacation area of Deep Creek, Maryland. Located midway between Washington D.C. and Ohio, the Cedar Chateau is our frequent home-away-from-home with 8 bedrooms, a hot tub and an indoor pool!
